Manuela Perez| We are thrilled to announce that the Cameron House 2025 Academic and Vocational Scholarship Application is now open! With the generous support of our alumni and community members, we are excited to offer scholarship awards ranging from $4,000 to $5,000 to recognize and support graduating San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) high school seniors pursuing higher education or vocational training. Eligibility Criteria • Graduating high school senior who will be attending college OR pursuing vocational school/training in the 2025-2026 academic year • Demonstrates a strong passion for serving the community • Exhibits outstanding leadership qualities Important Information: • Application Deadline: Friday, April 25, 2025, by 11:59 PM (no late or incomplete applications will be accepted). • Interview Requirement: ◦ Eligible applicants will be invited to a 20-30 minute in-person interview with the Scholarship Review Committee, held between May 5th – 16th, 2025. • Scholarship Awards Ceremony: ◦ Recipients will be honored at the Academic and Vocational Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 31st, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. ◦ We kindly ask all recipients to attend and invite family and friends to celebrate this achievement. How to Apply: Applicants are required to submit: • A completed online application • A two-page personal essay (double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font) addressing the following: ◦ What you would like the Scholarship Review Committee to know about you. ◦ Your educational and/or vocational plans and the career interests you aspire to pursue. ◦ How this scholarship will help you achieve your academic or vocational goals. ◦ How you have demonstrated your leadership skills and commitment in serving the community. ◦ How your involvement with Cameron House programs has shaped your values and impacted your personal development. (Optional, but highly encouraged as it can strengthen your application. |
