Meet Joanna Jiang!

What drew you to Cameron House?

I was drawn to Cameron House because of its long-standing dedication to supporting immigrant and low-income families in the Asian American community. As someone with a background in child and adolescent development and experience working with diverse populations, I was especially impressed by the organization’s holistic approach to counseling and community support. The mission deeply resonates with my values, I saw it as a place where I could grow while making a meaningful impact.

What’s been your favorite part of working for Cameron House so far?

My favorite part has been the strong sense of collaboration and shared purpose among the team. Everyone is genuinely committed to serving the community, and it shows in how thoughtfully services are provided.

What are you most looking forward to in the next several months?

I’m looking forward to getting more involved with group facilitation and individual counseling, especially within the Chinese-speaking community. Building trust with families and collaborating with the team on new initiatives is something I’m truly looking forward to.
