Boys2Men

Started in 2016, the Boys2Men program seeks to provide a space for young men (age 14-22) to explore issues of Asian-American identity and dispel the effects of toxic hypermasculinity. Led by Casey Chow, the Boys2Men program works on the development of social-emotional growth in young men by engaging in them in challenging discussions not taught in schools.

B2Mspring2016

Youth and young adults are invited to learn and share knowledge that will assist them in the transition from adolescence to adulthood. We want young men in our program to explore issues of identity, the concept of masculinity, and how they are defined in society. Our goal is for young men to be able to be freely express the range of emotions beyond anger. In addition to our weekly discussion topics, have fellowships over dinner by cooking and enjoying a healthy and inexpensive meal together.

Issues, topics and activities that we’ve explored in past sessions include:

Depression and Loneliness, Healthy Relationships, Environmental Stewardship, Faith and Spirituality, Hygiene and Fashion, Pilates & Core Fitness, Financial Literacy, Domestic Violence, Racial Issues, College and Career, and more.

We always appreciate alumni coming back to share their knowledge and experiences with our youth. If you would like to get involved in the Boys2Men program, please contact Casey at Casey@cameronhouse.org.
