Parenting Workshops

Cameron House’s Interactive Parent-Child Workshop is offered twice each year, in the Fall and Spring. Each series takes place on 8 consecutive Saturdays at our office in San Francisco Chinatown. The workshop is designed for Cantonese-speaking families with children from kindergarten to 4th grade. The unique workshops are conducted in small groups, with joint parent-child sessions as well as parents-only and child-only breakout groups. The goals of the workshop are to improve parent-child relationships and enhance effective parenting skills. Topics covered include: parental self-control, reducing conflicts among caregivers, positive communications with children, motivating children towards positive behaviors, and setting and enforcing limits. Instructors observe and coach interactive skills in real-time practice sessions, utilizing our state-of-the-art one-way mirror to ensure that classroom learning is translated to actual behavioral change. Sessions are conducted in Cantonese, and there is a materials fee of $20 per family for the entire series.

The Spring 2017 series of the workshop will begin on March 11, and take place every Saturday afternoon from 1 pm to 3:45 pm through April 29. Please see the flyer below or call 415-781-0401 for more information.
