June 12th – July 28th, 2017
For over 55 years, Cameron Ventures has provided children with safe and rewarding summer experiences! Campers will be challenged to increase their mental, physical, spiritual, and social skills through games, songs, field trips, devotions, cookouts, arts & crafts, and other exciting educational and recreational activities. Participants will also learn how to appreciate and feel comfortable with nature and how to safely have fun outdoors. In addition, campers will get to know the city through weekly field trips such as kayaking in Mission Bay, swimming, Academy Sciences and more!

Supervision, Accountability, and Care
Cameron Ventures is overseen by the Out of School Time Programs Director in coordination with the Ventures Program Manager. We hire experienced and passionate youth staff as our Summer Department Coordinators, who oversee the daily operations of each department grade. Each Department Coordinator also manages a group of 10 – 15 high school volunteer, who are trained to work with our youth, so that they can implement programming throughout the summer. These high school leaders are amazing young people who are dedicated to providing quality experiences for our youth participants while developing their own leadership and youth work skills!
