June 12th – July 28th, 2017
The Branches Youth Program (BYP) offers an exciting educational and recreational program at our building in Chinatown, where kids have the benefit of both supplemental academic activities and enrichment activities. Half the day is spent focusing on academic subjects such as Math, English, Science, Cultural Studies, and Physical Education. The second half of the day focuses on enrichment activities, including arts and crafts, music, cooking, and cooperative games that help children build social skills and make new friends. Weekly field trips and special activities encourage students to get better acquainted with the city and to have new experiences. Through every activity, we strive to teach the children the importance and value of self-esteem, friendship, teamwork, and community.

Supervision, Accountability, and Care
The Branches Youth Program (BYP) is overseen by the Out of School Time Programs Director in coordination with the Branches Youth Program Manager. We hire experienced and passionate youth staff as our Summer Department Coordinators, who oversee the daily operations of each department grade. Each Department Coordinator also manages a group of 10 – 15 high school volunteer leaders, who are trained to work with our youth, so that they can implement programming throughout the summer. These high school leaders are amazing young people who are dedicated to providing quality experiences for our youth participants while developing their own leadership and youth work skills!
Program Hours & Fee
The BYP program runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with free extended care from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
