Branches Youth Program (BYP)

June 12th – July 28th, 2017

The Branches Youth Program offers an exciting educational and recreational program, where kids will have the benefits of supplemental academic activities as well as enrichment activities.  At BYP, half the day will be spent focusing on academic subjects such as Math, English, Science, Cultural Studies, and Physical Education. The second half of BYP focuses on enrichment activities, including arts and crafts, music, cooking, and cooperative games that help children build social skills and make new friends. Each week, participants will go on outdoor field trips to get better acquainted with the city and to supplement enrichment activities. Through every activity, we strive to teach the children the importance and value of self-esteem, friendship, teamwork, and community.

Supervision, Accountability, and Care

The Branches Youth Program (BYP) is overseen by the Out of School Time Programs Director in coordination with the Branches Youth Program Manager.  We hire experienced and passionate youth staff as our Summer Department Coordinators, who oversee the daily operations of each department grade. Each Department Coordinator also manages a group of 10 – 15 high school volunteer leaders, who are trained to work with our youth, so that they can implement programming throughout the summer. These high school leaders are amazing young people who are dedicated to providing quality experiences for our youth participants while developing their own leadership and youth work skills!

Program Hours & Fee

The BYP program runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with extended care from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Our 2016 program fee for the BYP program was $850 for the full seven-weeks, or $145 per week. Financial Assistance is available to those in need. Please see below for more information.
