The Bilingual Afterschool Program (BAP) serves youth from the 1st-8th grades. BAP provides a great opportunity to help youth grow and acquire important social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills, and to help them become successful people. Not only do we provide daily homework support, we also provide hands-on enrichment activities every Tuesday to Thursday. We feel that these activities help our youth expand their knowledge of things they are learning in school and help to broaden their horizons. Come join us for science projects, math games, STEM activities, arts & crafts, and learning about culture, family roots, continents, “going green,” and so much more!
- expand all
- collapse all
BAP Vision Statement
At BAP, we believe success goes far beyond just homework completion. Here are the four indicators of success we have determined for our programs:
- When youth receive homework and academic help that better enables them to understand and access school curriculum
- When youth receive emotional support to build the self-reliance, self-understanding, and confidence needed to make healthy choices and decisions
- When youth engage in healthy relationships with each other and adult allies to build community
- When youth are challenged to engage in a variety of activities that broaden their exposure to life experiences, expand their critical thinking skills, and grow to be well-rounded individuals
