Cameron House Co-Presenting THE CHINESE EXCLUSION ACT

Cameron House is excited to co-present “The Chinese Exclusion Act,” a documentary by Ric Burns and Li-Shin Yu premiering at this year’s CAAMFest. The documentary tells the story of the Chinese Exclusion Act – the only piece of legislation in US history that barred a specific group of immigrants based on ethnicity and race – as well as the subsequent resistance against racism and the resilience of a people that shaped America as we know it today. Cameron House’s own mission and story are woven into its legacy, and we are honored to co-present such an important and compelling film.
The Chinese Exclusion Act will show on Sunday, March 19 at 7pm at the Castro Theatre, and will be the final film of this year’s CAAMFest, which runs from March 9-19. For more information and to buy tickets, please visit: http://caamfest.com/2017/films/chinese-exclusion-act/
