Board of Directors

Collectively, the Board of Directors governs and provides oversight to the organization to ensure that the community’s interests are represented; this includes determining our mission and purpose, strategies, policies, and priorities. The Board has a role in monitoring program performance and its impact. The Board oversees compliance with laws and regulations, the fulfillment of contractual obligations, safeguarding assets, and ensuring maximum use of our resources. The board is also responsible for the financial health of the organization, selecting, evaluating, and if needed, terminating the Executive Director, approving fundraising strategies, and monitoring its effectiveness.

  • Jennifer LeeSecretary

Jennifer was first introduced to Cameron House in middle school through the Friday Night Club Program.  In high school, she served as a Ventures day camp leader and primarily worked with middle school students (whom she still keeps in touch with today).  It was her passion working with youth that led her to pursue a career in education for both her undergraduate and graduate work.

The Ventures program was instrumental in helping her develop the leadership skills required to be an effective administrator of a well-established school in San Francisco; this same skill set was found to be helpful in serving as the chair of the Board’s personnel committee upon joining in 2018.  Jennifer returned to serve as a Board member in hopes to assist with advancing the important faith-based work of Cameron House and preserving it for many generations to come as we look to empower our youth to be the future leaders who will create a better ‘tomorrow.’

  • Connie Chern

Connie grew up in various Cameron House programs including summer camp, Westminster Woods, and Friday Night Club. In October 2018, Connie joined the board of Cameron House where she served as Treasurer until September 2023. Connie is currently a CFO at a climate-focused startup, a certified public accountant with Series 63, and Series 79 securities licenses, and the proud mother of Cora, a sweet 60lb mixed-breed dog. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, eating, hiking, and rooting for local sports teams.

Dylan joined the Cameron House Board in 2021 to give back to the community that taught him so many invaluable lessons growing up. Dylan currently works at Google Fiber, where he helps deliver high-speed internet solutions to businesses and properties across the Bay Area. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Christina is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in San Francisco in private practice. In her graduate studies, she primarily focused on how mental health affects the Asian-American population through generations. Prior to that, she was a DJ columnist for SF Weekly. He is still connected with many friends from these experiences today. In 2019, Robert came back to join the Cameron House Board of Directors to give back and help advance the mission of building strong leaders and community through faith-based values. Robert currently works in account management at a software company in Foster City, CA, and was born and raised in San Francisco.

  • Tommy Lim

Tommy would be the first to tell you that Cameron House changed his life. He was introduced to Cameron House his junior year of high school. The time he spent as a 3rd-grade day camp leader at the age of 18 was a powerful experience. From that role, he eventually became a Friday Night Club leader for the Apostles. He is most proud of the fact that many of the original members of that club group grew up to hold key leadership roles at Cameron House and the Presbyterian Church in Chinatown.

Tommy is married with two adult children. He was an optometrist that opened his own practice in 1981 and retired in 2020. Even though he has lived in San Jose since 1977, San Francisco has always been special to him, especially Chinatown. He has served on the board of the Chinatown Community Development Center and currently worships at the First Chinese Baptist Church, having served on their Deacons Board. Now on the Cameron House Board, he looks forward to serving the organization that has most impacted his life.
